This polished aluminium thermostat housing is designed to suit a wide range of Small Block and Big Block Chevrolet engines. The 90 degree outlet features a full 360 degree swivel, allowing the water outlet to be positioned as required to suit different radiator hose layouts. The housing uses a heavy duty O-ring seal, eliminating the need for a traditional paper gasket, and is supplied complete with stainless steel mounting bolts.
Supplied with the GASO Peak Performance high flow thermostat (GPP-3894), a 54mm conventional flat thermostat that opens at 82°C (180°F). It is built in copper and brass and designed to resist the coolant pressure changes that can affect conventional thermostats at high RPM, so it opens consistently in street, drag racing and oval track use. It interchanges with Mr. Gasket 4364 and Aeroflow AF49-1044.

Small Block and Big Block Chevrolet V8 using the standard 54mm thermostat. Please confirm your housing outlet angle, thermostat diameter and cooling system design before ordering.
This kit uses a conventional 54mm thermostat with no bypass foot. It will not suit Ford Cleveland V8 engines, which need an extended-foot bypass thermostat such as the Dayco DT66A.
