This 45-degree polished chrome aluminium swivel thermostat housing (water neck) suits both Small Block and Big Block Chevrolet V8 engines. Designed for custom builds, street rods and performance applications, the swivel feature allows flexible radiator hose positioning in tight engine compartments. Made from premium cast aluminium, precision-machined for a correct fit, then polished to a high chrome lustre. The O-ring style seal removes the need for paper gaskets, and stainless steel Allen head mounting bolts are included.

Supplied with the GASO Peak Performance high flow thermostat (GPP-3894), a 54mm conventional flat thermostat that opens at 82°C (180°F). It is built in copper and brass and designed to resist the coolant pressure changes that can affect conventional thermostats at high RPM, so it opens consistently in street, drag racing and oval track use. It interchanges with Mr. Gasket 4364 and Aeroflow AF49-1044.

Fitment

Small Block Chevy 327, 350, 400 and Big Block Chevy 396, 427, 454 and related engines using the standard 54mm thermostat. Please confirm your housing outlet angle, thermostat diameter and cooling system design before ordering.

This kit uses a conventional 54mm thermostat with no bypass foot. It will not suit Ford Cleveland V8 engines, which need an extended-foot bypass thermostat such as the Dayco DT66A.
