This O-ring style chrome thermostat housing (water neck) is designed for 1966-1975 Chevrolet V8 engines, including small block and big block applications. Featuring a precision die-cast zinc construction with a show-quality chrome finish, it provides years of corrosion resistance and a clean custom look. The O-ring seal replaces traditional paper gaskets, the extra-thick 12mm base resists warping under high clamping loads, and the 30-degree spout improves hose routing.

Supplied with the GASO Peak Performance high flow thermostat (GPP-3894), a 54mm conventional flat thermostat that opens at 82°C (180°F). It is built in copper and brass and designed to resist the coolant pressure changes that can affect conventional thermostats at high RPM, so it opens consistently in street, drag racing and oval track use. It interchanges with Mr. Gasket 4364 and Aeroflow AF49-1044.

Fitment

1966-1975 Chevrolet small block and big block V8 using the standard 54mm thermostat. Please confirm your housing outlet angle, thermostat diameter and cooling system design before ordering.

This kit uses a conventional 54mm thermostat with no bypass foot. It will not suit Ford Cleveland V8 engines, which need an extended-foot bypass thermostat such as the Dayco DT66A.
