This chrome breather cap suits engines using push-in style valve cover breathers. The hose barb allows the breather side of the crankcase ventilation system to be connected to the air cleaner, helping provide filtered fresh air to the engine while keeping the system more contained than an open breather setup.

In a typical PCV system, this breather cap is used on the fresh-air side. A separate PCV valve (not included) should be installed on the opposite valve cover or crankcase outlet and connected to full manifold vacuum at the carburettor or intake manifold.
