This 45-degree chrome thermostat housing (water neck) is designed for Ford small block Windsor V8 engines built between 1962 and 1978. Featuring a modern O-ring style seal, it provides a clean, leak-free installation without messy gaskets. The angled outlet improves hose alignment and includes a small bypass hose fitting for engines that require it.

Supplied with the GASO Peak Performance high flow thermostat (GPP-3894), a 54mm conventional flat thermostat that opens at 82°C (180°F). It is built in copper and brass and designed to resist the coolant pressure changes that can affect conventional thermostats at high RPM, so it opens consistently in street, drag racing and oval track use. It interchanges with Mr. Gasket 4364 and Aeroflow AF49-1044.

This kit uses a conventional 54mm thermostat with no bypass foot. It will not suit Ford Cleveland V8 engines, which need an extended-foot bypass thermostat such as the Dayco DT66A.
