This 90-degree chrome thermostat housing (water neck) is designed for Ford small block Windsor V8 engines. Built from precision die-cast alloy, polished to a mirror finish and then chrome plated, it offers both style and durability. The housing includes a coolant bypass fitting and uses a 1-1/2" outlet to suit factory hoses. The 90° angled neck is ideal where a tight bend is required for radiator hose clearance.

Supplied with the GASO Peak Performance high flow thermostat (GPP-3894), a 54mm conventional flat thermostat that opens at 82°C (180°F). It is built in copper and brass and designed to resist the coolant pressure changes that can affect conventional thermostats at high RPM, so it opens consistently in street, drag racing and oval track use. It interchanges with Mr. Gasket 4364 and Aeroflow AF49-1044.

This kit uses a conventional 54mm thermostat with no bypass foot. It will not suit Ford Cleveland V8 engines, which need an extended-foot bypass thermostat such as the Dayco DT66A.
